Character Guides - Cherry - Weapons - May 30, 2020

Steel Sabre

Like all default weapons, when maxed out, provides an Attack stat boost of 50% (in Cherry's case, at max Attack stats, going from 20 to 30). Useful if no particular character build satisfies conditions for other weapons.

Archrip

Archrip provides Cherry with a death-negating field while either Stand Ground or Fortify are active -- which essentially means alternating these abilities with correct timing provides 10 seconds of no death for anyone near Cherry. If focusing on Cherry as a Cover tank, Archrip can ensure that her allies pretty well never die when she's nearby.

Hrunting

Boosts the damage of Cherry's damage-dealing Wind Siphon abilities, which consist of just Violent Gust and Tornado for her. Hrunting won't salvage Tornado's pitiful damage, but it makes her nearly a respectable damage dealer with Hrunting's boosts to Violent Gust. Best used only for Wind Field Effect team builds.

Ice Brand

Cherry's Elemental Weapon, protecting her from and influencing the Water Field Effect. This will really only be used on a Water Field Effect team build with Knight and Claire, where Cherry is playing little more than Field Effect influencer for them (though using Phantom Break and Dark Energy to protect these characters lacking in defense wouldn't hurt).

Fuddle Blade

Adds Stun to Cherry's damage-dealing Body abilities -- Pierce, Hyper Blade and Cutthrough. Applying Stun during the Body Field Effect is hugely helpful to a party for not just dealing double damage to enemies, but preventing them from receiving double damage themselves. If Cherry is part of a Body Field Effect team, the Fuddle Blade is very helpful.

Excalibur

Provides more of Fortify's Hold the Line passive, which debuffs enemy Attack stat if they are caught in Fortify's no-move/no-dodge field (and stacks with the same ability from her Soul Triad). Its Attack debuff is valuable pretty much anywhere for any build, but Cherry needs to be close to the enemies in question and has to wait about 5 seconds (with her Fortify Cooldown passives) to utilize again between Fortify calls.

Lyra Buster

At max level, Lyra Buster triples the damage of Line Overdrive and Bladecopter, allowing for heavier frequent Mind Field Effect damage with Line Overdrive or massive damage for Bladecopter -- while Line Overdrive's damage boost is appreciated, this is more of a necessity for Bladecopter. Since Bladecopter NEEDS kills to be effective, pumping as much damage into Bladecopter is a requirement.

Waller Longsword

Provides more HP, making Cherry more effective defensively and able to better keep herself alive when taking damage in place of allies with Cover. Essentially a weapon meant for Cherry's personal defenses rather than her allies'.
