Developer's Take:

Brooks' playstyle for his preset is similar to how he is typically presented otherwise - a focus on long range damage, Blind and knockback. His unlimited range basic attack should not be discounted, as being able to move and attack at a distance is invaluable. However, in Onslaught, it can be difficult to tell where enemy reinforcements may be coming from, so exiting out of Aim mode after a kill is a good idea. In Conquest, it may not be a bad idea for Brooks to mix it up close, defending his soldiers with Crossguard and keeping reinforcements away with High Gravity. Brooks' Space-Time Rend Extreme creates 4 Black Holes that keep enemies trapped in the center while dealing damage before exploding for bigger damage and inflicting Knockback.
