Character Guides - Brooks - Weapons - May 30, 2020

Crossgun

Like all default weapons, when maxed out, provides an Attack stat boost of 50% (in Brooks' case, at max Attack stats, going from 40 to 60). Useful if no particular character build satisfies conditions for other weapons.

Plasma Shot

At max level, High Gravity deals Attack x 3 damage every second to any enemies within High Gravity's area of effect. Useful if High Gravity is an ability that the player uses heavily with Brooks.

Tactical Rifle

At max level, reduces the cooldown of Flashbang by 10 seconds, which can allow it to have a form of Blind-lock in some cases, due to its cooldown ending before the Blind can (with max Blind Duration passives). Useful if Flashbang is a commonly used ability by the player.

Overcompensator

At max level, boosts the power of damage-dealing Body abilities by 100%. In this case, this is just Pickaxe and Home Run, and is useful if Brooks is built for close-range combat.

Rail Gun

Brooks' Elemental Weapon, protecting him from and influencing the Wind Field Effect. This will really only be used on a Wind Field Effect team build with Cherry and Alberto, and is especially useful since Brooks can inflict damage with basic attacks at any distance, and therefore can provide Wind Field Effect influence/maintainance from any distance.

Ultra Rifle

Boosts the damage of Brooks' damage-dealing Earth Siphon abilities -- which is just Black Hole. However, since Black Hole is one of Brooks' stronger and more balanced offense options, a whole weapon dedicated to Black Hole can be very useful.

Howitzer

While the Mind Field Effect is active, Brooks' basic attacks deal damage to an area. Very useful with long-range builds and other Mind Field Effect buffs, such as Multi-Shot and Eagle Cannon that boost attack speed and damage respectively.

Ireland MRND-48 AAG

At max level, Brooks' Field Tactics grants both Attack + 20 and Defense + 50% to both of Brooks' allies for 5 seconds. With Field Tactics' cooldown able to hit as low as 5 seconds, Brooks can apply this buff repeatedly. Useful if Brooks is mainly player-controlled.
